When tickets went on sale in Seattle for the first Rolling Stones North American tour in three years, a crowd of hundred of jostling fans encircled the ticket gazebo outside the Seattle Coliseum. Soon word spread that there would be not one but two shows on June 4 and fans pushed even harder. Inside the booths, sellers stood waist deep in cash handing out the $6 tickets.

“But what is this presence that Mick has? And what is this tease? When he should be singing about girls, he’s singing about boys, he’s constantly caressing his fine ass and all night he’s sticking his tongue out and roaming it around those turgid, pink lips.”--Seattle Flag
By most accounts the Seattle concerts were sluggish. The band was still building towards its epic mid-tour prowess when they would live up to their billing as "the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world".
The set list ( from the second show)
Brown Sugar
Bitch
Rocks Off
Gimme Shelter
Happy
Tumbling Dice
Love in Vain (Robert Johnson cover)
Sweet Virginia
Loving Cup ( which would be dropped from the set list after this show)
You Can't Always Get What You Want
All Down the Line
Midnight Rambler
Bye Bye Johnny (Chuck Berry cover)
Rip This Joint
Jumpin' Jack Flash
Street Fighting Man
“At one point, ironically only a few songs after starting the show with Brown Sugar, Jagger said, ‘Something very nice happened today. Does anyone know what happened today? (pause) Angela Davis got free today.’” Seattle Times
